Lavon Gray, Ph.D

Dr. Lavon Gray serves as Senior Director of Organizational Development and Executive Coaching for both BREAD and Blue Hen. He works at the intersection of culture, leadership, and structure, coaching executives, developing leaders, mediating conflict, and helping organizations build the kind of cultural health that makes their other goals achievable. His role at BREAD spans brand implementation, leadership coaching, conflict resolution, and culture development.

Lavon brings more than thirty-five years of leadership experience from nonprofit and educational settings into this work, as well as a unique background in professional sports refereeing. He holds certificates in conflict resolution and mediation from Cornell and Northwestern, has completed leadership development coursework at Harvard and The Disney Institute, and is a certified leadership coach with the John Maxwell Team. He’s also an award-winning author and a professional member of the National Speakers Association and the Forbes Coaches Council. The credentials matter less than what they signal: he has spent his career studying how leaders actually grow, and how organizations actually change.

He has spoken to audiences across the country and in five other nations, and his keynote work is built from direct experience rather than theory. He uses humor and conviction as tools for connection rather than performance, and he meets the people in his audiences with the understanding of someone who has stood where they’re standing.
