Todd Rath
Todd Rath directs organizational strategy for BREAD and Blue Hen, working with clients at the level where decisions get hardest: structure, growth, and change. He has spent more than three decades in business leadership, with a particular gift for conversations and decisions at the C-suite level. His role here is to bring that experience into our clients’ rooms and to help them move forward with clarity.
Before joining BREAD and Blue Hen, Todd spent his career in the utility sector, focusing on strategic planning and innovation across electrification, customer experience, electric transportation, and distributed energy. He led the first fully integrated smart-neighborhood research project in the country—a living laboratory designed to study how future communities and energy systems could work together. That project drew national recognition and put him at the negotiating table with major technology companies, charging firms, manufacturers, and research institutions. Todd also led the development and deployment of electric transportation research initiatives, both digital and infrastructure, to gather intelligence. Through these research initiatives, he collaborated with charging companies (Volta), manufactures (Autocar) and academic institutions (University of Alabama).
What that history gave him, and what he brings to BREAD, is a working understanding of how organizations actually change. He pairs marketing fluency with business expertise, and an ease with people that makes complex decisions feel less paralyzing. For companies navigating a critical moment, Todd is the kind of ally who has been in the room before.
