Hannah Cantrell
Hannah Cantrell shapes brand identities at BREAD by combining research, storytelling, and design into something that meaningfully reflects who a client is. A Hattiesburg native and an advocate for Mississippi’s cultural texture, she brings a deep curiosity about place to her work. This kind of work produces brands that feel rooted rather than generic.
Hannah graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (emphasis in Graphic Design) from The University of Southern Mississippi, where she was recognized as a GDUSA Student to Watch (2022) and National Merit Finalist, and won multiple Student ADDY awards. That recognition matters less than what it signified: a designer who treats craft seriously and is willing to do the unglamorous work it requires. At BREAD, that shows up in her process. Hannah bridges traditional art forms like painting and screenprinting with modern digital design, and she brings a sensibility for nostalgia and pop culture into her projects without ever leaning on them as shortcuts.
What she’s after in every brand she designs is authenticity. She wants each one to look and feel like the specific organization or person behind it, rather than the trend it might be tempted to imitate. Through her role at BREAD, Hannah is helping the next wave of brands find a voice that’s actually theirs.
