Wes Brooks is a highly skilled and passionate professional musician and editorialist who brings a unique blend of creativity and expertise to his work. With over 20 years of experience in sales, customer service, grant writing, development, and government relations, Wes has honed his skills in shaping narratives, giving each client’s brand and advertising a distinct and compelling voice.
“As a musician, I’ve spent years observing people as they enjoy being entertained. It has made me realize that witnessing people embrace life through entertainment is ultimately the driving force behind my passion for what I do,” says Wes.
Currently serving as the Senior Writer at BREAD, Wes is dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for his clients. He goes above and beyond to ensure their loyalty, satisfaction, and success, consistently surpassing goals and expectations. Wes holds a bachelor’s degree from William Carey University, further enhancing his knowledge and expertise in his field.
Prior to joining the BREAD team, Wes served as the principal fundraiser for the DuBard School for Language Disorders at The University of Southern Mississippi. During his tenure, he successfully completed two seven-figure capital campaigns and secured numerous significant gifts ranging from four to seven figures. Wes’s exceptional grant writing and development efforts played a crucial role in giving a voice to the children at the school who were struggling to find their own.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Wes is deeply devoted to his family. He cherishes his wife, Shane, and their son Campbell. Wes’s love for music has been a lifelong passion, starting from his early teens when he discovered his talent for playing the guitar. In addition to his musical pursuits, Wes is also a guest columnist, where he shares his insights and perspectives.
